Professor

Dr. Jigna Trivedi is an alumnus of IIMA. She has recently completed her Faculty Development Programme-in Management (FDPM) from Indian Institute of Management, Ahmedabad-IIMA. She holds a graduate and post graduate degrees in Management from Gujarat University, Ahmedabad. She holds a doctoral degree from S.P. University, Vallabh Vidyanagar, Anand. She had received the fellowship from Entrepreneurship Development Institute, Gandhinagar. She is associated in the capacity of Associate Professor in Management department at Shri Jairambhai Patel Institute of Business Management and Computer Applications (formerly known as National Institute of Cooperative Management-NICM), Gandhinagar. She was the In-charge director for one year at NICM.She is a recognized guide of Gujarat Technological University (GTU), Ahmedabad. Currently six research scholars are pursuing the doctoral work under her guidance. She holds one year of corporate experience, and fifteen years of teaching experience.

She holds the credit of presenting more than seven and more than fourteen papers at various international and national level conferences, respectively. She has attended more than ten training programmes, faculty development programme and workshops at national and state Level. She has many research papers published in national and international level referred journal of repute. She has received many best paper awards for paper presentation in various national level conferences. She has received Innovation in Education Award from Higher Education Forum-HEF, Gujarat Chapter. She has also received Best Nariratna Award from Indian Lions Swarnim Gandhinagar. She holds the credit of working as a Co-Principal Investigator/Coordinator of District Human Development Report for Porbandar and Navsari district. She has worked as a Principal Investigator in the preparation of DHDR of Botad district.All the three policy document or projects were funded by Gujarat Social Infrastructure Development Society (GSIDS)-Government of Gujarat, Gandhinagar.

She has contributed in newspaper articles too. She has published two books titled-New Paradigms of Business Plan for Select Horticulture Crops-A Practical Textbook for Entrepreneurship and Sugar Cane Growers and Sugar Cooperatives of Gujarat. Her expertise of knowledge is shared through visiting or guest assignments with various institutes of national importance such as EDI, PDPU, NIFT, IIPH, URICM etc. She has also imparted research training to doctoral students, Class 1 and 2 level government officials. She has also imparted training to farmers of FPOs and has also delivered sessions on value chain and business plan preparation at National Institute of Rural Development, Hyderabad. Her teaching interest areas consist of Accounting for Managers, Cost Accounting for Managers, Corporate Taxation and Mergers and Acquisitions. She holds the recognition of guiding award winning business plan. She has actively contributed in organizing various co-curricular activities like state level and national level business plan competition- Advitiya at the institute. Her research interest consists of Micro Venture Capital Finance, Accounting and Finance, Entrepreneurship and General Management.
