Dr. Krunal Joshi

Associate Professor

Dr. Krunal Joshi, a post graduate in business management from FORE School of Management, New Delhi, is an Associate Professor at SJPI in the area of marketing.  He started his academic career with SJPI in the year 2009.  Prior to that he had work in the industry for 3 years at managerial levels with Bajaj Allianz General Insurance Co. Ltd. and ICICI Securities Ltd., primarily responsible for branch management including sales and profit mobilization, heading a team of sales & operations staff. 

His academic areas of interest include digital marketing, brand management, sales and distribution management and consumer behavior in retailing industry.  He has conducted a couple of workshops in the area of effective selling and digital marketing.  He has also served as an expert member on the board of studies at Gujarat Technological University and has been instrumental in designing and conducting ‘school management’ course at IITE, Gandhinagar.  At SJPI, he is a part of a few research projects in the area of management, awarded by various government institutions.

A strong believer of the theory of karma, he is an avid reader of literature on life management and self improvement.

Project Title “Predictors of Households’ Plastic Recycling Behaviour and a Subsequent Plan to Promote their Participation”
Details A minor research project approved by Gujarat Technological University, Ahmedabad under the university’s research promotion scheme.
Role
  • As a principal investigator (along with one co-investigator) need to plan and execute the whole research work and generate considerable outcomes.
  • Prepare a final report for submission. Publish at least one research paper in a journal of repute based on the outcomes (a desirable outcome).

Details A project funded by Indian Council of Agricultural Research under the National Agricultural Innovation Project at Centre for Research on Seed Spices (CRSS), Sardarkrushinagar Dantiwada Agricultural University, Jagudan, Gujarat. Our institute was working as a sub partner to CRSS, SDAU, Jagudan.
Role
  • Providing market intelligence with regards to the domestic and export market for major seed spices covered under the project.
  • Forming farmer co-operative societies and making them function for better price and value realization from seed spices and value-added products.

Project Title “District Human Development Report for Navsari District, Porbandar District and Botad District” (3 separate projects with similar KRAs)
Details A project by Gujarat Social Infrastructure Development Society, Government of Gujarat, Gandhinagar. Our institute was working as a principal partner in preparing the Human Development Report for Navsari District.
Role
  • Collection of data on various parameters like education, population composition, health indicators & livelihood through filed visits and from government offices.
  • Preparing a comprehensive report on the district human development as indicated by the progress on the parameters mentioned.
