The Grievance Redressal Cell is constituted to probe into student and staff grievances. It attempts to address genuine problems and complaints of students and staff members, regardless of the nature of the problem.
Students approach the Cell to voice their grievances regarding academic and non-academic matters. The Cell redresses grievances at both individual and class levels, as well as grievances of common interest. Students are further encouraged to use the suggestion box placed on campus to express constructive suggestions and grievances.
Following the directives of UGC and AICTE, the Grievances Redressal Cell is established to handle individual grievances related to students and faculty members, ensuring their amicable redressal promptly. The Online Grievance Redressal mechanism is utilized for receiving the complaints. The Institute’s notice board displays the committee members’ list, contact numbers, and email IDs, indicating the details of the online Grievance Redressal Portal to ensure publicity and awareness of the establishment of the Grievance Redressal mechanism. Additionally, the committee invites suggestions from employees for improving the working environment and resolving any issues.
Suggestion Boxes are provided near the institute’s entrance for students and staff to air their grievances. Complaints are dropped in the ‘Suggestion Box’ by students and oral complaints are also redressed. All complaints undergo scrutiny by the management and the grievance redressal cell. The Director regularly attends to these daily. The institute also assures students that once a complaint is made, it will be treated with confidentiality.
Meaning of Grievance
Grievance means a formal complaint that includes any kind of discontent or dissatisfaction or negative perception, whether expressed or not, arising out of anything connected with the university that a student or parent or staff member thinks, believes, or even feels, is unfair, unjust or inequitable. The grievance can be raised by a student or the employee.
A dedicated email ID can be used to send online notifications of grievances to the concerned committee.
